August 2025, on the road in Uganda. No client and no shot list, only time. For people who dance because they feel like it, and for animals that decide for themselves how close you get.

A woman in a grass skirt laughs as she dances on a lawn, with a row of women in wraps in the colours of the Ugandan flag behind her.
A single car drives away down a forest road into orange haze while the low sun glows between tall dark trees.
An older man in a dark red sweater sits under a woven roof at night, resting his chin on hands folded over a walking stick, smiling.
A man in camouflage uniform and bush hat sits smiling on a fallen tree by a muddy waterhole, with rainbow flares of light across the frame.
A young male lion with a short, tousled mane sits in dry savannah grass and looks calmly to one side.
A large herd of antelopes grazes across a golden grass plain under a grey sky, with a single tree on the horizon.
A gorilla presses its fingers to its mouth and gazes out intently from behind a plant stem, in black and white.
A chimpanzee gazes into the distance in profile, the wrinkles and fine hairs of its face sharply drawn in black and white.
A young gorilla looks up between green leaves with wide brown eyes and an open mouth, as if grinning.
